Over the years there have been many wars and battles being fought all over the world throughout history. Each conflict innovates better weapons and tactics, then the last. In the era between. From July 28, 1914 – November 11, 1918, World War I began and ended, but between the 4 years they were many warfare technology advances and tactics. During World War II to today the United States have made a great advance in warfare technology. Even though this is so, the warfare that was used affected many, including the environment.
During World War II, warfare was changed drastically and would never be the same again. The United States detonated the world's first atomic bomb at a test site in New Mexico on July 16, 1945. The United States decided to use the atomic bomb to defeat Japan in order to save around 500,000 lives of American soldiers that were needed to end the war. On August 6,1945 the first atomic bomb used in war was dropped on Hiroshima and killed 80,000 civilians instantly. The code name of the uranium-based bomb was "Little Boy." “The total of those killed in Hiroshima were 192,020, combining those killed instantly and those killed from radiation and other aftermath.” “After only three days after bombing Hiroshima the United States dropped an implosion-model plutonium bomb code-named "Fat Man," over Nagasaki.
