1.1 Explain what constitutes a team in an adult care setting and the different roles within the team. A team made up of professionals, individuals and family members. Support workers make up the majority of the team, their role is to support the individual on a daily basis, this includes their day to day tasks. Support workers are also responsible for reporting back to other professionals and family members. Completing paperwork for the individual, medications administered, supporting with appointments, money management and budgeting etc. Support workers are trained in all aspects of care that is required to deliver high quality care and support.

Managers and leaders role is to support the support workers and run the service from a different level, this includes rota planning, service planning, paperwork and the logistics behind the service. Managers and leaders, support the support team by giving 1:1 sessions with each staff member, conducting team meetings, ensuring that all staff are trained accordingly.
