Rock ‘n’ roll had fired a rebellious attitude on most white teenagers who had chafed under the conformity. Adding fuel to this fire were several different film that had a part in the growing trend called juvenile delinquency. The movie “Rebel Without a Cause” became a favorite movie for alienated teens who began to blame the world’s wrongs on their parents’ generation. When James Dean died it also had a huge impact on young teens lives. His death at such a high point in his life made him seem like a cult hero to the teens all over. Although, since rock ‘n’ roll had come around, music had been drastically changing. Social structures had loosened and become more aware of the others. The world of popular music was inundated by a wild new sound that was called rock ‘n’ roll. a generation of young teenagers had rebelled against the music their parents loved. The older people of the generation loathed rock ‘n’ roll. They were appalled by the new styles of dance and the movement it had evoked. The churches even proclaimed it was Satan’s music. By the time the decade was over, the phenomenon of the rock ‘n’ roll had helped define the difference between the youth and adulthood. “Rock and roll is the most brutal, ugly, degenerate, vicious form of expression- lewd, sly, in plain fact, dirty- a rancid-smelling aphrodisia and the martial music of every sideburned delinquent on the fate of the earth (Frank
