Program planning start with assessing the needs, determining the desired outcome, designing and implementing a plan to reach goals to impact other. A program plan should be created with managers, staff, any one who will be involved in the program to set responsibilities, identify priorities, create evaluation, but most importantly always keep clients in mind in order to be able to help their needs. Program planning starts as a big picture that turns into different crates of framework for your program. This will help you organize and be able to separate responsibilities between your staff, volunteers, and members of the program. Planning will help the program update, manage funding, organize and set responsibilities for anyone involved in the program, as well as to know if the plan is working or is need of change. Evaluations can tell you what is working well with the program, what needs to improve or change. Evaluations can provide great management tools. For example an evaluation can tell you if your clients agree with your services, the way your advocates treat you clients, if their needs are being met, even if you are over spending by using or doing things that are not necessary. A program evaluation is a tool that programs can use to ensure that they are currently running properly, as well as serving the mission of your organization and are achieving maximized results.
