This led to the creation of several conspiracy theories surrounding the murder of President Kennedy. According to an article from ABC News, there are five main theories: the Soviets did it, the Mafia did it, the Cubans did it, President Lyndon Johnson did it, or the CIA. The possibility of the Soviets being the cause is due to Oswald living in the Soviet Union, and because of the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union. There were two chances of the mafia being involved: The CIA had arranged for the mafia to assassinate Cuban President Fidel Castro and thought that they would get Kennedy too; another was "the mob is paid to kill Kennedy by anti-Castro Cubans." (Goldman). The theory of the Cubans assassinating Kennedy comes from the Americans trying to assassinate Castro: Castro thought that he would get back at President Kennedy by having him assassinated. People also believe that Lyndon Johnson did it so he could become president. In all of these theories, the CIA plays a role in some way, shape or form; the information they share is highly protected. "One theory suggests that Oswald was a CIA operative and agents tampered with his FBI file before and after the investigation to make it appear he was a communist and lone wolf." (Goldman). One final theory of JFK's assassination is that there was a second shooter other than Lee Harvey Oswald; it has been confirmed that Oswald was the only one.
In conclusion, the assassination of John F. Kennedy will always have some sort of a mystery to it. There will still be questions without answers in the future.
