Understanding my strongest skills can potentially help me see which sets of skills I have yet to practice and/or learn. The LDP identifies six sets of skills that an effective leader should have at some point throughout their career. The following are the leadership skills: communications skills, social skills, influence skills, analytic skills, technical skills, and continual learning (Week 7 Class Notes, 2018). I believe most of my communication skills, social skills, and influence skills are strong. My ability to talk to students on how to complete the application for the program and other information about the program allow students to join the upcoming program year. My listening skills and nonverbal communication skills are on point. For instance, JusticeCorps members were confident to inform me if they had an issue with their superior at the center. In addition, when I was a receptionist, facility emergencies, school needs, and parent’s needs were met because I was able to understand how to respond to a situation. Having social skills requires the individual to engage, comprehend, and energetically tackle other’s personality elements and as well their own (Week 7 Class Notes, 2018). My social skills gave me the opportunity to get promoted more than one time. For example, I was hired as a JusticeCorps University Representative because of my personal likability as a JusticeCorps member and became a client navigator after I gained the admiration from peers, staff members and clients as a receptionist. Due to my social perceptiveness, my current supervisor wants me to work for her
