I believe that the greatest influence on my life was my high school band teacher. Ever since I walked in her classroom my freshman year she always had a high expectation for me. She would push me to try new and amazing things that I would have otherwise never have thought about. In marching band she would work us both diligently and efficiently to make each run even better than the last. In jazz band she pushed all the players to come out of our comfort zones and challenged us with professional pieces. She was both harsh yet kind with her teaching. She left little room for error and pushed us all to be our best. Yet would always be there for us when we needed someone to talk to. She taught us all how important volunteering and community service
