For most of the funds that the Marshall Plan provided to the European countries went towards the necessities like food, fuel and other goods that they needed. Some of the main reason why the American government Bought goods for the European countries was so that these countries could then become economically stable and able to trade goods with the United States.
After World War Two there was much debate from both European and American government, on whether or not the Marshall Plan helped the European countries and left the United States helpless or made it to where the United States gained more assets, and help from other countries. After revising most of the info found, it shows that the Marshal Plan was both very beneficial and hurt the
