Abstract: We have seen many cases in the news revolving around the major issue of mass shootings. We see how they have negatively affected the lives of many. And although this is a serious and life-threatening issue, it seems to have never become a priority. Mass shootings have been going on for decades now. They have evolved and gained more awareness, yet there has been no change. But in order to understand this issue to its full extent, we must learn about how it was before. And although there are many proven working solutions to prevent the increase in mass shootings, such as stricter gun control laws and a raised age limit to purchase a gun, they have almost immediately been shut down by many people who believe that this issue has nothing to do with the accessibility of guns. Throughout this research, we were also able to point out the importance of remembering and never becoming numb to deathly issues like mass shootings. Overall, we have come to the conclusion that we must take this issue seriously and act justly. We must demand change, as many victims have done. And come together in solidarity to ensure that the lives of our victims are being treated with the importance and care that they deserve.
