1. Motivation/problem statement: What do I want to do after high school? What are my education and/or career goals and how will I achieve them? Why do I want to achieve these particular goals? Although, many would feel making the final decision of what you want to do after high school is extremely tough, on the contrary, I made my decision rather quickly. Throughout this course I was able to analyze both potential career paths and myself. Furthermore, discovering new aspects to the world of careers and myself discovered a brand new perspective to life by making it easier for me to finally choose the final destination on my career pathway. Additionally, I will achieve these goals by doing well in high school by working hard and earning good marks. Also, I want to achieve this goal because it will help me get to my dream job career at the end. Next, my goal would be to enter medical school at Queen’s School of Medicine for 3-4 years. I will achieve these goals by finishing off at McMaster University with an average degree of 3.82 and earn an average MCAT score of 11.07. Furthermore, on terms of why I want to achieve this goal is again because it will aid me in the process of becoming a surgeon. Next, I will go on to complete my residency at University of Toronto’s residency program, which will take around 3-7 years. This final step will be achieved my successfully finishing med school with great marks and I would like to achieve this goal again because it will help in the process of becoming a surgeon. Finally, after finishing residency, I will have to finish a few more practical and written exams, which will finally lead me to becoming a surgeon.
