If we focus more on all the positive outcomes of a situation this lead to many new possibilities. Mindfulness helps take our mind off all the negativity surrounding us, if this is done prior to coaching the coaching experience will be much more enjoyable and gives the client a sense of freedom and lets them wander through their own thoughts.
Meditation can also be taken into account while doing mindfulness. It can help relax our body which then improves relaxing our mind and becoming open with ourselves. Meditation helps create space around you. Mindfulness can be both practised by the client and the coach itself. This creates both sides having equal thoughts and space. A mindful coach can be more accurate of their client’s needs, wants and actions and the environment around them.
I feel that mindfulness can benefit in many ways to both the client and the coach. Mindfulness lets you clear your mind from all your worries, thoughts, and feelings and let you relax. Sometimes it can be hard if you have a very busy schedule in life and can barely fit anything into your agenda but even 1-5 minutes of mindfulness per day. It can be something very simple like taking deep breathes for 30seconds to 1 minute; this can help to let you forget about the list of things you have to do and gives you some time for yourself.
