When examining your own personal assessment I found some interesting views of myself by working through the Pearson Prentice Hall Self-Assessment Library. Some of the judgments resulting from the tests have surprised me, while other results confirmed what I already suspected. This assessment will examine and give some insight on who I am in the business world, how I work with others in the realm of business, and life within my organization. I will also explain how the Holy Spirit has worked in my life to transform my weakness into strengths to become a better person, employee, and leader.

My company’s structure is one that encompasses branch management of the sales team. I have direction and guidelines to follow and regular meeting to discuss progress with management. My job also requires that I delegate some responsibilities. I believe that my chosen profession is one that is fitting to my personality and skill set linked to the industry in supplying fluid equipment. Currently my company is going through some changes and with these changes comes uncertainty and stress. I tend to over stress on some issues concerning employment, but I do understand that worrying about it gets me nowhere fast. In this situation I like to pray for guidance through the difficult times and remember that God is in charge. The Bible states in Psalm 16:8, “I have set the LORD always before me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken” (NIV). This gives me added security by knowing that I am not alone and the through God all things are possible.

After completing the assessments, I have learned the importance of the different elements of organizational behavior. I have been able to examine my personality and how it plays a significant role in day to day business. With this knowledge I believe that in my current position it will help me to be a better employee and a future leader in the company.
