The National Junior Honor Society is a prestigious organization. It’s a very big responsibility and leadership position that will benefit me. There were four qualities we were asked to pick from, that include scholarship, participation & leadership, citizenship & character, and lastly service. I took some time to think about what of the four qualities I think I exhibit the best. The two qualities I picked are service, participation, and leadership. The first quality I think I exhibit the best is service. There's multiple reasons why I think this. I was asked to help teach younger kids softball skills, and most of the girls went to Claymont. Whenever the owner of the clinic needed my help, I was there to help her. Another volunteer I do is tutoring. I mostly tutor in Mahaffey's room because she always needs a little extra help with kids that struggle to read and are behind. This definitely benefits the school because if I help them understand things, it’ll help them get better scores on the MAP test. If a student raises their hand, I try to do my best to help them. The last volunteering I've done recently is I went to the depo to help make gift bags for toys. We did this to give toys to kids on the Polar Express. It was a fun experience because it made me feel good to be helping the community too, and not just the school. The lady was also very nice and thankful for our help. This benefited the depo, because they got done quicker with the gift bags, and didn’t have to rush and stress out trying to get everything done. This also benefits the student council kids because it makes our school look good and helpful. The second quality I feel I exhibit the best is participation &
