Dear Mrs. Boyer
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to convince you that I have all five characteristics of NJHS. The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) requires its members to exhibit various qualities, one of which is character. I show character in many ways, such as I have respect for not only all my peers but also my elders. Another thing that shows character is that I try to look out for them, not letting them get into trouble or start unnecessary problems.

During my middle school year, I consistently demonstrated leadership in various situations such as being a part of academic groups; I have always strived to complete tasks efficiently and effectively while ensuring my group's accuracy. Whenever I see a peer struggling with a problem, I never hesitate to attempt to assist them with their problem. Although I won't solve their problem quickly, I won't give up. I am confident that my contribution will help them get one step closer to solving their problem.
The fourth characteristic of NHJS is service. In the previous paragraph, I explained my desire to help others, like my peers and elders. In this paragraph, I will elaborate further. I understand the importance of helping others and always try to assist my peers, even when they don't ask. I believe that providing excellent service is crucial, and it pains me to be unable to assist someone.
Lastly, the fifth characteristic of NJHS is citizenship. Which, in my opinion, involves more than just following rules and regulations. It's about being a positive contributor to society. A simple way that I contribute to the community is by picking up trash. This simple action can be done by anyone and has a significant impact on keeping the environment clean. I believe that I possess good citizenship qualities. I would never do anything to harm my community, and I wouldn't just stand by and watch something harm our community without attempting
