My company is a municipal law enforcement agency serving the community of Dogtown. Dogtown has a population of 18,620 residents. The department consists of 5 patrol teams, each team is made up of 1 lieutenant, 1 sergeant, 5 patrol officers, and one K-9 officer assigned to each team. The department consists of an investigations unit of 1 lieutenant, 1 sergeant, and 5 investigators. The administration division consists of 1 Chief, 1 Deputy Chief, 1 Captain, and 1 Administrative assistant. The department has its own dispatch center which consists of a total of 5 full time dispatchers, 2-part time dispatchers, and 1 supervisor.
Other departmental staff includes 1 records manager, 1 property and evidence manager, 1 crime scene technician, 1 …show more content…
If the residents aren’t happy and do not feel safe they will complain to the town manager or even the mayor, instead of adding positions to the department which would call of an increase in local taxes, the department will have to struggle to reduce their crime statistics and overall resident satisfaction.

The length of the mission statement is good, it states how they plan to treat their customer, “Valued”, while stating their plan for the owners, “contributing positively to the bottom line”. However, the statement leaves out the most important component, the employee. The statement talks about them, “Human resources”. The last line regarding, “balance between our personal and professional lives” should be completely removed. This should go without saying. Overall it is a good and fairly strong mission statement.

A slight bit shorter in length from the first sample, it addresses the customer right in the beginning, then it goes into addressing the employee. They do address the benefit for the company when they mention “improving the effectiveness of”. The last line needs to be rewritten, it is a bit confusing to
