When I had different career aspirations than I do presently, I decided to take two additional psychology courses as an online transient student at Shepherd University. This experience posed unique difficulties in addition to those that generally accompany online learning, including interacting with unfamiliar instructors and managing a different online learning platform than I was accustomed to. Through my academic diligence and success strategies, I have completed each course with an “A”. The academic success strategy I have found most effective for me involves using assignment schedules and physical checklists. Creating an agenda of when I will complete assignments allows me to properly organize my workload so that it does not become overwhelming. Physical checklists help keep me accountable by providing a visual of my assignment pace. Unlike many other students in similar positions, I am comfortable reaching out to faculty for advising when needed. I recognize that these individuals, as well as most other professionals, are eager to help students grow their knowledge base and succeed in all
