The focus of Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) IV is a direct continuation of DNP III in which this author project of "Simulation Training to Enhance Faculty Preparedness in Teaching Tracheostomy Care to Nursing Students" has been approved for implementation. According to American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), the Essentials of Doctoral Education for Advanced Nursing Practice correlates with the authors DNP scholarly project in Essential 1: Scientific Underpinnings for Practice to use science-based theories and concepts to evaluate outcomes of the simulation and tracheostomy care. Furthermore, Essential III: Clinical Scholarship and Analytical Methods for Evidence-Based Practice would integrate nursing science and analysis in the highest level of nursing practice by disseminating best evidence on use of simulation laboratories and low-fidelity simulation equipment to teach tracheostomy care to faculty members …show more content…
The learning outcomes are being met by constant communication with Dr. Silvestri-Elmore as the Academic Mentor (AM) for a successful implementation and delivery for tentative date of June 14, 2016. Furthermore, Dr. McNicholas as the course instructor has been very involved with students with continuous communication via email, text and conference calls with a lot of encouragement to complete the task at hand. This author's work are graded on timely manner with proper guidance, encouragement and suggestions about the assignment. There are no foreseeable problems on this course because we have a great instructors and leaders that guides and support all the students in completing this class. This author just hoped that we have more instructors like to Dr. McNicholas and Dr. Silvestri-Elmore that made learning more meaningful and care about their student's
