Obama’s actions are not good for this country because it’s unfair for people doing the right thing and people that have a criminal record can’t come to America.

One reason why I believe Obama’s plan is a bad idea is because it’s unfair for people doing the right thing. I think this because there are 480,000 family based visas each year (American Immigration, 2014).This is showing people that according to obama’s plan, 480,000 legal immigrants would get punished. Many people would say obama’s plan is unfair. As Marco Rubio stated “The president's actions now make all of this harder and are unfair to people in our immigration system doing the right thing” (PBS, 2014). Just like Rubio, I think making it easier to let illegal immigrants come to America makes it less likely they will do the right thing by becoming legal. Lastly, In 2013 close to 47% of immigrants are naturalized U.S citizens. This shows that almost half of immigrants are legal. …show more content…
One reason why I believe this is because just like this immigrant said “We feel like we are being stepped on and we’re not considered human beings we’re just seen as people coming to do illegal things or be criminals.
