Odysseus is a hero traveling along his journey . There are a lot of reason to throw out that will prove he is a hero.Therefore .Odysseus reminds me of batman. The reason why, is batman doesn't have superpowers as a mortal god.Yet,he has strength similar to odysseus. the definition for an hero or heroism is clear to understand. Odysseus is likely to compared to heroism but if go deeper, consider what people feel a hero should be.also. his journey is to try to get his men back home. Considering the characteristic of an epic hero will help understand how he is a hero . mostly heros are given a quest, along with testing to see if worthy of a quest. also Heros get help from mystical beings and people like Athena. additionally heros enter a different magical world where normal people never enter similar to hell. Odysseus reaches a point where he almost got defeated by the enemy.That where a hero finally gains a right place as a leader for their people.

For example The island of the Lotus eaters was for a person would never leave if they ate the ate the lotus flowers. Odysseus stops at the island and he sends three me out on land. When they didn't return he came to the land to rescue his men. unfortunately They fought him and still his men didn't want to leave the island. Eventually he got them on the ship and left as fast as his ship could carry to sea Once again Odysseus save the day at The Island of the Lotus
