As a teenage mother, I dedicated my life to providing a better life for my daughter and avoiding becoming a victim of my circumstances. I worked and climbed to a six-figure career without a degree or brown-nosing, only to be wrongfully terminated twice from the same employer, the company for which I had sacrificed my relationship with my daughter to provide for her. The situation was my most challenging circumstance to date. During this season, it was where I learned I could not control everything, and if I was to survive the problem, I needed to embrace change and move forward because my mental health and physical health were at stake.
