When I first landed in Ohio in the middle of winter and got off the plane in the 30 degree weather I was definitely surprised. Not that I had never seen the snow, but I had never planned to live in it. The fact that I did not know anyone or anything in the surrounding area did not help much and my first few weeks were boring to say the least. Because of the way the semesters lined up for my old school and my new one I was set to have a six week spring break, so like any naive 12 year old I was ecstatic. I still remember the many odd occurrences I faced on that first day. I took a math test on material I had not thought about in months, I took an english test on a story I had not read, and I had the ordeal of where to sit at lunch.
