Peru, officially the Republic of Peru, is a country in western South America. It is bordered by Ecuador and Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile and the Pacific Ocean. It is an extremely diverse country with habitats ranging from the plains of the Pacific coastal region, to the peaks of the Andes Mountains and to the tropical Amazon Basin rainforest. Peru has gone through periods of political unrest and internal conflict as well as periods of stability and economic growth. Peru is a democratic republic divided into 25 regions. It is a developing country but still has a poverty level around 25.8%. Its main economic activities include mining, manufacturing, agriculture and fishing. GROWING CONDITIONS
• Most tomatoes are warm season fruits and sometimes grown in greenhouses.
• Tomatoes prefer a mild climate. Temperatures over 90 degrees during the summer days and 76 degrees during the nights may cause blossom drop.
• Tomatoes prefer a deep, fertile soil that is well-draining and has a lot of organic material and grow well in a soil with a pH around 6.5.

CHARACTERISTICS
Tomatoes are a plant that grows well in a sunny, moderate climate. The fruit contains vitamins C and A. Tomatoes are easy to grow in a greenhouse. Tomatoes are a green shoot with green leaves and are usually seen as red, but they can also be green, yellow, orange, pink and white. Tomato plants are made up of only five percent solids. These solids are cell walls, sugars, and acids. The rest of the tomato is made of water. The fruit of the tomato is fleshy, juicy, and ranges from sweet to mildly acidic. The two types of fruit produced by a tomato plant are the small cherry tomatoes that have two seed chambers inside and the bigger tomatoes have lots of
