Imitating a baby’s vocalization and facial expressions can help with the speech and language development. Before a baby can clearly speak communicate with baby talk, smile, pay attention and imitating your body. Baby talk through smiles and gurgles, they might not be able to understand what you say but they can absorb emotional tone. For example, parents can respond to baby talk by making funny faces, yawning or even a smile.
Playing peek-a-boo with a baby gives the insight of the child development. Helping he/she strengthen their visual tracking, building the child’s gross motor skills and encourage their social development. Playing peek-a-boo teaches the child the object of permanence. Permanence develops within babies by 5 months of age.
