We met men and women that worked there, and we tried to present our school in the most mannered way, so they could help us with the funding for this campus. We also had the opportunity to dialogue with Senator Chauncey K. Gregory, native of Lancaster. In that chat, we had the chance to talk about the possibilities of repairing the road network and his proposal was convincing at certain times. From the start, he told us that it was a challenge because of the resources. I personally want to believe that they know what they are doing because their decisions will have an effect on us. As mentioned before, South Carolina’s budget is a problem, and the state would have to impose some new guidelines on its people so the roads can be improved. The government would have to find a new way to make money since South Carolina would have to spend an enormous quantity of resources. It is estimate that it would be a figure around the high millions and low billions of dollars to repair every inch of the roads and bridges (South Carolina Policy Council). I decided to interview him because of his experience and involvement in the community. I believe that his eloquence surpasses many great minds. I have known him for two semesters and he is a wise man that is very fretful for the unlucky and needy. He began telling me that the topic on road is frustrating because it’s a difficult subject. He also told me that he doesn’t believe in taxing gas because he considers it regressive. He believes that the government should tax more on income because he thinks that it should be distributed according to how much an individual.
