Introduction- In this paper, I will discuss how President Trump’s highly controversial ways of using social media decays his effectiveness as president of the United States. President Trump uses social media to attack people and news stations that do not share the same opinion as him and it is unlike any other president we have ever seen. The ideas of why his use of social media decays his effectiveness as a president will be discussed as well as specific tweets to back up this claim. I believe that as the elected president of the United States, you have an obligation to hold a high level of professionalism and not attack people through social media like a high school cyber bully. My research shows that there are many people on both sides of this argument. People who support and defend president Trump’s use of social media believe that he is being a modern day president and that social media is the one of the best ways in today’s society to get to the public. A common misconception is that people who do not support his use of social media disagree with this statement. A majority of people believe that a president using social media can be a positive tool, however the content to what he puts on it for the entire world to see must be professional and presidential. …show more content…
This can be a challenge because it is nearly impossible to discuss Trump without having an opinion and putting in self bias in an article. As a result of this, this might eliminate some key large news sources such as CNN. CNN would clearly be a biased source to use because Trump has a history of tweeting out at CNN and attacking them in public news conferences. As a result of this, CNN will most likely not have anything positive to say about anything President Trump partakes in.
