Assessment(s) – Formal and Informal
Formal: Students will be able to answer questions about the story through a worksheet with pictures of a number with the associated amount of dots (like dice). Each student will roll the dice twice, record the numbers received and tell the teacher what number is greater or more than.
Informal: Teacher will monitor, assist as needed, and take notes on students, ask them if they understand the term greater than, less than or equal to. As I read the story, I …show more content…

Let the students know they will be playing a game using dice. Let them know they will roll the dice, count the amount of dots they have, write it down, get the same amount in counters, roll again and count the number of dots, write it down, get counters, and have them tell you what number is greater than, has the most dots or is equal. Ask the students if they know the numbers they wrote down? Make sure to provide an answer if they do not know? Aid as needed.
Allow the students to work in an open forum, assist and answers questions as needed.
