It may also hurt people in many ways, it may have people begin to question their own worth. Questioning their own worth may become depressing and start to feel sad or worry about their future. For instance, there is a test called Clarks Doll test which was an experiment done by Dr Kenneth Clark and his wife Mamie. In the experiment they asked African American to choose between a black doll and a white doll, the dolls were exact the same except for their skin color. When this test was performed by children at a young age start to develop a mind that colored people are no good and ugly. The children would be asked, “ Show me the doll that looks bad” or “ Show me the doll the you like best or that you’d like to play with.” Children would consider the black doll as a bad doll and wouldn’t want to play with it simply because it was black. The white doll was considered a good doll, beautiful, and would want to play with it. Children at a young age start to believe that colored dolls are ugly and bad and white dolls are good and beautiful. Children tend to have more trust in white dolls and colored dolls are consider to be less trustful and violent just because of their skin
