Conflict
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants has four protagonists each with their own conflict. Though each friend has to face four different conflicts they also face one conflict together – being apart for the summer. This is a person versus person conflict. They must learn how to cope without the love and support of their friends during the summer. In a way, they resolve it by creating the Traveling pants and frequently writing letters to each other but they still have their own conflicts to face.

A t first, she doesn’t like Kostos, and she doesn’t want him. She thinks that all he wants is her looks and doesn’t care about what’s beneath her. And there is this whole misunderstanding about Kostos harassing Lena in which Kostos stops talking to her. Then things turn and Lena likes Kostos because she was wrong and Kostos cares about what is beneath. She has a conflict with herself about how she needs to learn to open up herself to others so she doesn’t lose him.
Tibby’s conflict is with herself. She meets a young girl names Bailey and she has trouble joining herself and usual sarcasm to the new insights Bailey gives on life. She tries to see the world in a different view. When Bailey gets very sick, she has a problem accepting it and realizing what is happening.
Like her friends, Bridget’s conflict type is similar. She likes a coach at the soccer camp she goes to and tries to get him. Once she does, they get very intimate but she has second thoughts after. She frantically pursues him but there are many dangers involved. She has a hard time adjusting with herself and what she did. Bridget must know what she did and control herself. She can’t change what she did but she can learn from
