Solution-focused therapy is a technique that enables the therapist to assist the client in concentrating on habits that will bring that client closer to a resolution rather than becoming involved in a cycle that permits a repetitive pattern of being engulfed with their challenges. In the taped scenario, we were asked to view, the counselor attempts to begin a dialogue on what the issues are and how everyone in the family is feeling and what they may be contemplating.
