They can also be placed on a large calendar and then be moved from one place to another, and be removed at anytime and replaced with a new Post-it note. This can help people with disabilities because they can visually see the task and they can discard the Post-it note when they have finished (Vlasak and Ranaldo 2). Post-it notes can also be used to express emotions for people who have a harder time communicating verbally. In the Shift In Assistive Technology written by Erin Vlasak and Michelle Ranaldo it states “...the students can be asked to look at a visual thermometer that outlines their feelings.” The student then replies with a number for example 1 feeling calm and 10 feeling agitated. Then the person helping them can decide what is the best option to help them calm down if necessary (Vlasak and Ranaldo 2). Post-it notes can come in handy by giving a specific color a level of how angry they are or how calm. For example green for calm and red for angry; the student would just have to point to a color and then the person who understand how they were feeling. Another use for Post-it notes are to use different color Post-it notes mean different things such as blue Post-its are things that have to be done at home and purple Post-its are things dealing with school or work and so on. For people who have jobs they can use Post-its for writing lists that they need to get done.
