Tetanus
Painful muscle spasms, and trouble breathing. This is Tetanus and it can easily lead to death. Tetanus is caused by a bacteria. This disease is extremely rare disease, but when it strikes the results can be fatal. The bacteria enters the body through open wounds or burns where most of the cells are already dead. This provides the necessary environment for the bacteria to begin to spread its horrible factors. This bacteria is Clostridium Tetani (C. Tetani). After entering the body, C. Tetani will start to produce toxins in which are harmful to the human nervous system. The toxin also known as tetanospasmin travels through the body and the nervous system. It’s goal is to reach the spinal cord. The deadly toxin finally reaches the spinal cord, and this is where the toxin really starts to attack the body. The toxin will start to mess with the neurotransmitters, and this starts to block the messages to and from the brain. This, resulting in painful and powerful muscle spasms, and sometime severe seizures. This disease is known as Tetanus.

Around the 1980’s the vaccine for tetanus is completed mass produced and spread around for all of the world to have. In recent years Tetanus remains a public health problem in most parts of the world and can often be fatal. To this day there are fewer than 1,000 U.S. cases per year on average, and worldwide, around
