Why does a phone distract us so often in our everyday life? Why do we always look at it when it goes off? These are some of the many questions people ask when they hear about a car crash because of cell phones. There are many other questions, but so many that some can't even be answered. Phones have been in our lives for many years. There are phones that are in cars that you don't have to hold so you can pay more attention to the road instead of the phone. It is better for people to use this instead of using your phone. I believe that you should not pay attention to your phone while you’re driving. Do you really need to text someone when you’re driving? I’m on my phone everyday when I’m at home but, I never get on it while driving. When you look at your phone you make it unsafe for you, your passenger, and the other people on the road. While you are driving if you are on your phone someone else is probably on theirs causing it to be more dangerous than it is normally. You should pay attention while you drive, because someone can be on theirs and you need to be as careful as possible. While you think it might not be so bad to be on it there has been more than 1,000 deaths from texting while driving. Most cars right now have hands-free calling for safety. It is safer to use that than it is to text the people that you are talking to. What good does it do for a person to text instead of call? Teenagers are the majority of the people who will text while driving, which is unsafe because they have just obtained their license. When someone texts it distracts them from the road. When you are texting you can swerve all over the road and might end up hitting someone. Yes, talking on the phone can be distracting also but it keeps your eyes focused on the road at all times.
