Tropical Rainforest
Tropical rainforests have very majestic trees that can grow up to 180ft tall. Did you know that everyday hundreds of thousands of trees get cut down in the tropical rainforest? Some of the world's largest plants grow in the tropical rainforest. One of the largest spiders and tiniest frogs also live here. The rainforest hardly ever has a dry season. There they generally reach 18ft of rain each year. Without tropical rainforests many tribes and animals would be without homes. We would also be without many medicines. Lymphocytic Leukemia patients have a 99% chance of the disease going into remission with the Rosy Periwinkle. There is More than 1,400 varieties of plants in the tropical rainforest that could possibly cure cancer. In this project I will be talking about the climate, plants and animals of the rainforest, and landforms in

They get their energy from the sun.The energy is trapped and stored here. They store extra energy that is for the herbivores. The energy is transferred to the animals that eat plants. The herbivores are the second level of the energy pyramid. They eat the plants that store the sun's energy. It is used for staying alive, grazing, and running from predators. The third level of the pyramid are the secondary consumers or omnivores. They are animals that eat other animals. They receive the sun's energy second hand from the primary consumers. They are eaten by the top predators. At each level some energy is passed to the next level, where its is stored in plants and animals. Photosynthesis is important because the plants take in carbon dioxide, and the sun's energy. The plant stores the sun's energy. It uses the carbon dioxide and creates glucose and oxygen. The energy that the plant stores travels to the primary consumers, which then goes to the secondary consumers, then finally goes to the top
