The purpose of this essay is to informatively explain the legal rights, responsibilities, and limitations Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) have in the U.S. military. Explain UCMJ and potential punishments for violations of code, both verbal and written. Secondarily, I will define the roles of NCOs and officers to ensure an understanding of the distinction and reciprocity of roles and how they apply to the broader scope of the U.S. legal framework.
