Intro: I am strongly against guns for the simple reason of unnecessary violence amongst people. Why would we need guns in our own homes just to feel secure? Aren't we only making the problem worse by attributing it to the purchase of guns? By making them more common and more dangerous? Statistically speaking, having a gun in your house is doing more harm than good. Unintentional shootings: Studies have shown that unintentional shootings are four times as common as occurrences of gun use in home invasion situations. Which means that you are more likely to accidentally shoot yourself, your family or friends than a home invader. This is false because even though some places require you to have a licence or permit, others don't.
