According to Ballard Brief, for every 5 children there is, one is obese. This statistic shouldn't be common. The main cause of obesity is unhealthy food. One place where you can eat food unregulated is at school. School lunches are bad and aren't regulated like they should be.

If school lunches were regulated, children’s health wouldn’t be at risk. The Jungle by Upton Sinclair caused the FDA (food and drug administration) to create and use it. The book depicts the horrors that were going on in the meat industry back in the 1900’s. Poor working conditions with no signs of sanitation. An example would be that the meat-slicing machine would cause people to get hurt and killed. The remains of the people wouldn't be cleaned and people would be sold meat that had part of human flesh in it. We encourage the FDA to administer regular food regulations. One might say that school lunches should stay the same way as they are right now, because not many kids can afford to bring lunch to school. As opposed to that, we should prioritize children's health and find a way to make lunches healthier instead of having unhealthy lunches, which can cause lasting health problems. If the food stays unregulated, you may as well never know who or where the school got the lunches from and be at a certain health risk from it. America should contribute more of its budget to create healthier food choices for children and not start leading health problems for
