One of the most interesting and educational clubs I have had the privilege of participating in has been the local 4H chapter. The group requires an understanding of the body structures and physical needs of large farm animals before students are allowed to interact with them to ensure the animal's safety as well as the students. My time with the 4H group has taught me responsibility, patience, and gave me a variety of basic tips for interacting with animals in different settings. For example, it is best approaching wounded or strange animals with caution and patience to not overwhelm the animal and allowing them to feel comfortable with your presence.
