Does every animal deserve a fighting chance in life? Some animals do not get this chance because they are being kept in small cages in a laboratory for animal testing all around the world. Who is to say when and how these animals live? What if there were alternatives to animal testing? Each day hundreds, if not thousands, of animals are abused and inhumanly killed in terrible ways that would not be shared to the public. Some think most of these animals are essentially wasted due to failed experiments, which results in an increase in animal carcasses lying around, leading to unhealthy living conditions. What people fail to understand about animal testing is what really goes on behind all those locked doors. According to Dr. Jane Goodall, “In the name of science or medicine, animals are subjected to a countless number of invasive, frightening and sometimes very painful procedures” (Goodall, Should Animals Be Used).
