Research shows, that teenagers don't get enough sleep it's been considered that school should start later in the day. So, that kids can get the sleep they need for a good long day of school. I can see where many people think that's a good idea. Mainly just because they think they'll get more sleep. Well, I disagree with school starting later in the day and here's why. If school starts late then practices run late, you can still get the same amount of sleep as before, and the day would be a rush.

What I mean is that if school takes up at 8:30 like it does. You should still have been able to get a good night's rest the night before. The human body needs eight hours of sleep to be fully ready to go. So, as long as a teenager is in bed by 11, they should be fine. But that comes with discipline, at this age discipline is the biggest thing we need to be taught. But for instance what if school takes up at 10:30?
Your day would run late and if you do any activities outside of school you’ll be exhausted. It would be just as hard to wake up for 10:30 as it would 8:30.
I stated in the former paragraph, your day would run late. That’s so true, it would all be a rush. For one, you've always been use to school being early and practice getting out at that certain time. It would take awhile to get use to the change taking place. You would have to reschedule everything around school and I guarantee that most students would be getting home at late hours. So, that's another reason I disagree with changing school hours.
In closing, school should stick to the way it is and how it runs things. Of course, everything needs change after so long. But some stuff you don't change and I fully disagree with school starting late in the day. I believe 8:30 is a perfect time for school to begin. It makes us disciplined to get ourselves up and
