Too many innocent American lives are lost every year because of unnecessary gun violence that could've been avoided in the first place. It mainly happens in America mostly because gun laws are so lenient, like in some places you could get a gun anywhere from a supermarket to a barber shop and even a bank, that’s just Insane. This is important because there are too many crimes and deaths in America that involve gun related and our children, elderly, maybe even you are in danger of becoming one of these situations. The government should put regulations on guns because of all the violence in America before it becomes too overwhelming.

Firstly, People think that if they have a gun that the crime rates in their specific area would go down and while this somewhat true, the fact of the matter is that that drop is very minor. “In Texas, state police reports show that more than 3000 crimes have been committed by concealed weapon permit holders in the for years the law has been in effect, including murder, rape, child pornography and more than 500 assaults.”(Duggan 3) This quote shows that even though people have guns in Texas there is still that high amount of crimes. It's the same thing whether people do or don't have guns crime is crime and it is not going to change.
