1) Black Death: The Black Death was a Plague that came to Eastern Europe in October of 1347 arriving by sea and by the spring of 1348 the Plague had reached the shores of Italy. Once it hit Italy it spread through the rest of Europe like wildfire completely covering Europe by 1349. The impact of the black death was felt everywhere in Europe with such large portions of the population being killed off by the Plague the economy took a huge hit, and people in communities affected were starting to question their faith and turn their backs on what their beliefs were. With so many dead the labor force was severely decimated which led to increased labor cost as well as increased cost of goods and services.
2) The Atlantic Slave Trade: The Atlantic Slave trade began in the late 1400s and lasted until around the early to mid 1800s. The slave trade was mainly from western African to Europe and the Americans across the Atlantic Ocean. Slavery had a huge impact on the world. The Civil War was a product of slavery that eventually led to the end of slavery in the United States. Since slavery the equality of race movement became big and is still around today.
