Catapult Study
A catapult is a device or machine that launches rocks, and items to destroy other items through the air over a far distance. The catapult was invented by a Greek historian,Diodorus Siculus, and was used in wars around 399 B.C,but the Romans perfected it. Catapults were common in the middle ages.The French were the first to use the catapults on English soil.The most common definition of a catapult is that it is a machine that stores energy then quickly releases the energy to fire a projectile. Size is a big part of a catapult. The size changes how the catapult operates. These destructive objects were also used to throw missiles at soldiers. There were three main types of catapults,
