What of the students who are not the top of the line players so they do not get a totally free education and still have to pay for their college. Another point made by USA Today was which athletes get paid? All of the athletes, or just the breadwinners of the teams? All of the athletes should get a percentage of the jerseys with their name or their face to simply help pay for the college expenses such as the food, boarding, books, or even miscellaneous things. Being a college athlete is a full time job. They get up earlier than anybody else in the school and later than everybody. Juggling a job, education, and social life alone is a lot of work as it is but adding sports on top of the tower and things that you have to do is simply impossible without stress. USA Today wonders as to who would pay the athletes, the college they attend, the conference the college is in, or the NCAA itself. The NCAA generated more than one billion dollars off of men's basketball television ads alone it is very clear the NCAA has the funds to give a small amount back to the athletes who risk their bodies for the sport.
