My license to complete freedom occurred in the town we are currently living which is Wichita, Kansas. The plus side to learning to drive in Kansas is the lack of vehicles on the road. There is almost never any traffic, and the roads are wide and spacious. I drive with my hands at ten and two, but I keep one hand in the ready position to hit the horn. I also am constantly looking for a way out safely of every driving position I am in. Vehicles coming at me from the sides are particularly unnerving as that is how the guy who hit me came at me. I clear my path from all sides and look for the unexpected to come at me in any form. I keep my eyes constantly scanning and I keep my eyes tuned for any screeching of tires or loud noises. I am not afraid to drive, but am rather extremely alert and active in my driving practices. Driving will never be a mindless activity that I do in an automatic manner. It will always be an evolving process that I constantly change up in response to the drivers around
