Applications and management of police use of force are one of the most important and complex issues in the modern law enforcement system. The use of force and deadly force is sometimes necessary to achieve the goals of the law enforcement. Law enforcement is bound by a moral obligation to an oath to keep the peace, enforce laws and provide citizens to live free from fear of being the next victims.
Using of force comes with a great responsibility to only use it when it’s justified and necessary. As officers they need to find the balance between justifications and restraint of using the force against the citizens.
Police executives have an obligation to ensure that their officers are operating within the law, and to ensure that their approaches and practices and strategies is successful, while minimizing the risk of being injured and death to themselves and the public as well. Police

Using the less lethal devices that police officers carry on them and during all stages of the confrontation. Strong leadership and innovative resources will lead for the community to trust the police organization. By providing police officers with the tools need, they will be better equipped with the information’s that will help them make an informed decision on force issues.
One of the primary indicators of an agency success is the confidence of that community in the police department. The use of force from the police department and the handling of it will impact the public opinion of it.
