Depending on what major students are taking, there might be a difference on how they are managing the strain. For example, medical students and researchers have been the ones who, if they are affected by fatigue or stress, have low academic scores. On the other hand, those who are taking other subjects such as business tend to subsist a little better than those in the medical field. (Masaaki, Fukuda, Mizuno, Kuratsune and Watanabe, 2009)
Those students who were not affected in the UK research in the beginning, 9% become depressed, furthermore 20% of the students were clinically leveled anxious by midterm. Those who were anxious and depressed at first, 36% of them were able to recover and be able to fare better than when they were stressed.
