Is four day school week better than 5? Using public support for a 4-day school week and why a bill to require 5-day school weeks has some Louisiana districts upset. will be looking at both the positives and negatives of a four day school week. For example, having four day school weeks can be positive by giving students enough extra time to study and rest. But also be negative by the fact that the teacher might not have enough time to teach the students the needed material. This is what will be discussed in this essay.

The positives of four day school are: parents don’t mind the schedule with many of them preferring it to the old one, and students love it with it giving them lots more time to do things in general. For example, if a parent has a job on Friday, they won't be able to watch their kids. There also is the usefulness of a teacher being able to get more done. For example, if the weeks were shorter then the teacher couldn’t teach as well, and the student wouldn’t be able to learn as well too.
