The people who believe this are on the more conservative side and believe that there are a variety of things that they can use as evidence, and have/will use, in order to argue their view on whether or not they think the pay gap among sexes exists. These things include the choice in education between men and women, the jobs that women have versus men, and the career paths that the different sexes choose to purse.
On the other side of things are those who believe that the gender wage gap really does exist and that they have sufficient evidence to prove that there is a gap even after the creation of the Equal Pay Act. These people believe that this is a serious problem and is it negatively impacting the women in our society today. The negative impact is that women continue to not make as much, salary wise, as the men in the exact same field as them. The people who have strong opinions about this topic use a set of points that they believe can prove their opinion on the pay
