For the most part the book and the movie have the same summary. Here is what the summary is. In fact one of the big character changes is in the book when Hannah goes back in time she is called Chaya but in the movie when she goes back in time she is still called Hannah. In the book Hannah has a brother named Aaron, Ron Ron for short. In the movie hannah is an only child. In addition to all of that in the book she had a very angry grandpa Will who was Wolfe. In the movie neither of them appeared in the movie. Another difference in the book and movie is in the book there was a butcher and his two kids. In the movie there is not butcher or his kids. Now for the difference in the plot. In the book Rivka is the girl in the camp who was already there and she had lost a lot of her family and is teaching Hannah how to survive. In the movie Rivka is Hannah’s cousin and she loses her mom when Hannah is in the camp. Not to mention in the book the whole thing is the arithmetic to see if you will survive and if you next, it is a bunch of adding and subtracting using the devil’s arithmetic. One more difference is that when Hannah comes back to the future in the book she is just shutting the door like nothing had really happened. In the movie when Hannah comes back she is laying in a bed with all of her family standing around
