According to the Jung Typology Test I am an Extroverted, Sensing, Feeling, and Judging (ESFJ) personality type, also known as a “caregiver” (Personality Page, n.d.). To be an effective leader, one must learn to listen and then speak. I have found that after becoming a police officer, my moral convictions are stronger than ever. This presents a problem in my personal life because I am never “off-duty”. If I see something that is illegal, then I have a professional responsibility to act, regardless of who is involved—this includes my friends and family. I do try and keep this mindset, each person has a different path in life, again when those paths cross, we must remember to treat that person with love and respect.
